REMIXES!

There are two remixes up for listening on the myspace page.
I also have a track called Spaceblunts on there as well. You can visit it here.

Still Philosophy and I wanted to do a track together and we finally got to it.

I added up on his Cosmic 84 track, as requested.

Tough times calls for tough beats.

Expect me to not get some sun for a while.

Two beats available for download

Quit Stuffin' and Spaceblunts, you can find them on the SoundCloud page. I don't really know where I will release these and how long they are going to be up.

Perhaps someone out there can help me decide their fates.

Sad news :/

MPC 500's compact flash drive doesnt work so I have to return it. I'll probably buy an MPC 1000 at the States on eBay with the left over money.

Rest in Peace to Lucky (Mikeskee's best friend). Nicest dog I have ever met.

NY Pizza Rooftop Party

The owners of the NY Pizza (who happen to be Canadian) had this Rooftop party yesterday. Not much people showed up but definite good times. DJs Paul, Peter, and Sean were playing House, while I played some turbocrunk + jazz hop + chill-out electro-hop.

They are currently thinking big. So to you Kaohsiung Foreigners and local Taiwanese (who I doubt will discover this page before I leave TW), hit up the spot! I had free pizza and booze, and I am pretty sure you can too if you bring people!

Much respect to the owners for doin their thing.

PIZZAS GOOD THERE TOO.

Where I practice in Kaohsiung, Taiwan

Video is below.
Oh, and I have been sick lately. I caught a bacterial infection in the stomach and I have been vomiting for 3 days straight. The vomiting has stopped but now its just straight up loose ends.

Wakamaru and Lodestar have some new beats on the myspace page. Sensei will have some too.

MPC is on my lap, PEACE.

Akai MPC 500 pick up soon!

Whats up yall. I havent been up on that beat production lately, so I decided to blow my money on a new portable production center aka the Akai MPC 500. Lodestar and Sensei Sounds have been on that FL Studio cooking up beats/songs/remixes so I thought what the hey, time to get myself on that wavescape holodeck. Whats great is since I have been so mobile (commute everyday to Starbucks), I can get my hands on some beat making when there isnt a decent connection with the internet available.

Soon, I will start on a new journey ahead.

peace

Finally back to the South of Taiwan, after a long and exhausting week in Shenzhen, China.

A few highlights:

4 hours of sleep each day.
Every otherday, few of my friends and I would get those thai & chinese massages.
Many unexpected turns throughout the day.
Djing at True Color.

First Blog Post and Introduction

Hello everyone! my name is Mike, also known as Rice.

A DJ and dancing friend of mine (Sean Lee) got me into blogging. He believes blogging has major benefits rather than just having a myspace page.

So here I go, starting up another personal site.

I first touched them turntables 7 years ago, when I was 13. Played with a few battle breaks but I stopped after a few months because of school.

I got back into it while I was at my peak of dancing. Mainly learned some basic scratches/mixes in the States until I went to Asia.

My first couple months as a resident DJ in InClub (Shenzhen, China) has seriously gotten me to where I am now. I leveled up and now DJing is a possible career for me.

I am still currently in Asia (Taiwan). As for now this site needs some raw editing.
